Melissa Hansford, MD
Melissa Hansford, MD, is a Somerset native who completed her Bachelor’s
degree at Western Kentucky University and went on to medical school at the
University of Kentucky. After graduating medical school in 2004, she entered
Pediatric residency at the University of Kentucky and completed that residency
in 2007. Dr. Hansford chose to stay an additional year at UK to serve as Chief
Resident and part-time faculty in the Department of Pediatrics. She has been in
private practice in Somerset, KY since 2008.
Dr. Hansford has a special interest in Asthma. When away from the office, she
enjoys spending time with her family, activites on Lake Cumberland, leisure
reading, and scrapbooking. She is married to Jonathan Hansford.
