Cherice K. Patterson, M.D.

Cherice K. Patterson, M.D., FAAP, was raised in Somerset, KY. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology at the University of Kentucky in 1999. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2003 and completed her residency in pediatrics at Kentucky Children’s Hospital through the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2006. During her residency, she received awards in General Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, Neonatology, and Pediatric Critical Care. She also served as the Pediatric Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor at Kentucky Children’s Hospital from 2006-2007. Dr. Patterson then returned back to her hometown and has worked as a Board certified pediatrician in private practice in Somerset since 2007.

Dr. Patterson strives to provide skilled and compassionate care to each child as if they were part of her own family. She finds it a privilege to be entrusted with a parents’ most prized gift and a pleasure to get to know her patients as she cares for them from infancy through adolescence. She has special interests in breastfeeding, prematurity, children with special needs, and promoting the wellness of children through preventive medicine. She is married to Christopher Fabrizio who is a teacher at Northern Middle School. She loves spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephew, Bryleigh and Holden, and her fur babies, Wrigley, Murphy, and Max.
